Prof. dr hab. inż. Urszula Narkiewicz

Urszula Narkiewicz is a faculty member at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. Professor Narkiewicz’s scientific interests include: inorganic chemical technology, nanotechnology, materials engineering, surface physical chemistry, and catalysis. From 2011 to 2023, she was the Head of Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering of the WPUT. She led two Polish-Norwegian research projects: SolSorb (2014-2017) and PhotoRed (2020-2024).

Since 2005, she has been a member of the Board of the Polish Society for Material Research; since 2009, a member of the Team for Nanomaterials of the Section for Metallic Materials of the Committee for Materials Science and Metallurgy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and since 2015, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Professor Narkiewicz is a reviewer of EU research projects and has also represented Poland in the Interdisciplinary Group of Experts for the Assessment of Projects of the NATO Science for Peace and Security Program.
